King’s Fold is a Christian Retreat Centre. Although this is more about who we are than about what we expect of our guests - our core, essence, commitments and values reflect this and inform how we are in the world. We are all about hospitality – a hospitality of welcome, service, and community. Our mission is to provide authentic hospitality in a safe and welcoming space for rest, healing, and renewal. We are committed to…
1. The person of Jesus Christ, the testimony of scripture, and the harmony of the collected witness of the church universal.
2. Hospitality as the expression of the open-hearted welcome of God, creating sacred space for spirit and body.
3. Spiritual practices as a means to nurture an ongoing receptivity to God’s transforming grace.
4. Community that reveals God’s invitation that intentional relationship is essential for personal wholeness.
5. Faithful stewardship of all our resources, which include nature, people, and finances.
When you come to King’s Fold you are not coming to a facility, but to a living, breathing community. We do not rent out our space; we welcome you into our home. When you come to King’s Fold, our community expands to include you – not just physically, but relationally; not just so you have a place to stay, but so you have a place to belong. We hope this is how each of our guests experience King’s Fold – both those on personal retreat and those in a group retreat.

In light of who we are…
- One of our practices as a Christian community is to give thanks before meals, with a prayer, poem, etc.
- We generally eat in a shared dining room – often with guests (groups and personal retreatants), volunteers and staff sharing the table.
- Guests, volunteers, and staff all share in some housekeeping responsibilities, as part of the invitation to enter into the hospitality and community that is the heartbeat of King’s Fold.
- We consider our grounds, meeting rooms, and amenities to be sacred spaces, and many of our sacred spaces are quiet spaces.
- We endeavour to foster an environment of quietness, rest, and renewal (with the obvious exception of meeting rooms, kitchen, etc.).
